How to Fix : Apps Freeze, crashing or not responding

There are few reasons that will make your android phone Apps to keep crashing or freezing on startup. The app can become very unresponsive and may also slow down your mobile phone. It is very important to clear the app’s cache frequently to avoid clogging down the phone memory.

1. Restart and Update:

Press and hold the power button for a few seconds, to restart your phone by clicking Restart.

For some old models you need press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds, until your phone restarts.

To check for and install system updates:

  1. Open your device’s Settings app .
  2. Near the bottom, tap System  Advanced  System update. If needed, first tap About phone or About tablet.
  3. You’ll see your update status. Follow any steps on the screen.

1b. Check for App Updates:

To perform App updates on your phone

  1. Open your device’s Play Store app .
  2. Tap Menu   My apps & games.
  3. Apps with available updates are labeled “Update.”
    • If an update is available, tap Update.
    • If more updates are available, tap Update all.

2: Check for Larger App Issue

  1. Force Stop the App:

But to completely shut down an app, including any background services that it may be using: Open your smartphones’s Settings app .

  1. Open your device’s Settings app .
  2. Click Apps & notifications.
  3. Click the app. If you don’t see it, first head to > See all apps or App info.
  4. Click Force stop.

2. Clear App Cache:

Clearing cached data can free up your phone memory by removing temporary files that clog the system down. Which improves speed and overall performance of the phone.

To clear the cache for the app:

  1. Open your device’s Settings app .
  2. Click Apps & notifications.
  3. Click the app. If you don’t see it, first head to > See all apps or App info.
  4. Click Storage  >Clear cache.

3. Clear the App Data:

Also by clearing all of an app’s data can resolve and improve speed.

Caution: Any data saved in this app will be erased.

To clear all of an app’s data:

  1. Open your device’s Settings app .
  2. Click Apps & notifications.
  3. Click the app. If you don’t see it, first click > See all apps or App info.
  4. Click Storage  Clear storage or Clear data  OK.

Finally, if the problem continues, uninstall the app.
