King’s College London is proud to announce the generous gift of the Petersen family, which helped establish the Alexandros Petersen Scholarship, in memory of our former student Dr. Alexandros Petersen.
Am I eligible to apply?
Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Request an MA in the War Studies program; Priority is given to students who apply to the MA of Conflict, Security and Development, but other AM of War Studies can be considered
- Resident of Central Asia or the South Caucasus (Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekista.
How do I sign up?
You must request both the scholarship and the program, which are separate applications. Applicants must submit a scholarship application first, before submitting an application to the MA program so that King’s can track their application.
In the application for the MA program, you must include in the first line of your personal statement “Alexandros Petersen Scholarship” so that we can identify your program application. Otherwise, your request may be rejected.
Applications will be closed on March 31, 2018.

When will I know the result of my application?
As long as your application form has been completed accurately and the corresponding documentary evidence has been delivered, you will be notified of the decision in mid-May.
When will the prize be paid?
The prize will be paid in the form of a full tuition, fee waiver and a monthly stipend, including a small travel grant.
