Today Computex about to kick off, Acer has unveiled affordable laptop — the Nitro 5— a gaming laptop that won’t break the bank, The  laptop comes in a few different configurations for casual gamers and will start at $799 (about £615).

The usual angular design, black and red chassis plus harsh lines should reassure buyers this one’s made for gaming, too Nitro 5 laptop is designed for people like us, that can’t afford to shell out $8,999 for a gaming laptop, which reminds me of Acer Predator 21 X gaming laptop.

But today with just $800, you get yourself  the Nitro 5 gaming laptop. The idea behind this introduction is to produce laptops with the performance to play your high-end games but at a cool price that won’t affect your budget.

On the specs side of Acer Nitro 5, comes with lots of choice for CPU and GPU, as you get 7th Generation Intel Core i7 or i5 processors, or AMD 7th Generation AMD A-series FX, A12 or A10 APUs.  Acer Nitro 5 comes with graphics options up to Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon RX550 graphics.

All this, coupled with a vibrant 15.6-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS display, while Dolby Audio Premium and Acer TrueHarmony technology provides incredible sound depth.

The Acer NITRO 5 laptop will offer up to 32GB of DDR4 2400MHz memory. Some models will include PCIe SSDs (up to 512GB) with up to 2TB of optional HDD storage. Ports include gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.1 Type-C, USB 3.0, a pair of USB 2.0 ports, and an HDMI output. For wireless connectivity, the laptop supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi with a 2×2 MIMO antenna.

All this for a smart price tag of $800 or approximately N304,000
